Doesn’t my homeowners policy cover my tools?

No – homeowners policies exclude business and professional tools when they are not in your home.
 

What protection does BSRO provide?

BSRO has a reimbursement program with a maximum payout of $3,000 for covered losses on your tools while in your store location.  This program is automatic and requires no action on your part.

How do I enroll in tool insurance?

It’s easy and quick! Visit our Enrollment page, complete the online form and click “Submit.”
 

Do I have to list all of my tools on the itemized list?

No – you only have to list tools that would cost you $1,000 or more if you were to replace them at today’s prices.
 

What do I do if I have a claim?

For any losses over $3,000 in value, you can either submit your claim using our online Claims form, or you contact AssuredPartners at 1-800-860-0090 and ask for the Claims Department. Be sure to identify yourself as a Bridgestone Tool Insurance participant.

To file a claim for the first $3,000 of your loss, or for a loss that is less than $3,000 in value, please:

  1. Find the Serious Incident and Loss Notification Form on the Store Performance Dashboard > Resource Library > Forms.
  2. Complete the “Loss Report” form (3rd sheet on the document) in full and follow all instructions listed. Attach any necessary documentation.
  3. A copy of the form must be emailed to your store's:
    • Area Manager
    • Region Personnel (Region Operations Manager and Region Manager)
    • Division Personnel (Division VP, Division Operations Director, EHSS Manager, HR Director, Division Finance Leader)
       
Do I have to pay for the first $3,000 of my inventory?

No – BSRO provides reimbursement for your tools up to $3,000 in value at no cost to you.
 

What does it cost?

The cost for the program is just 55¢ per $1,000 in value over the $3,000 free company reimbursement program and is conveniently deducted from your paycheck on a weekly basis.

Our online Enrollment form can provide you with the exact amount of your weekly deduction with no obligation to enroll in the program (you will be prompted with a choice to enroll at the end of the form after receiving a quote).
 

How do I make changes to my inventory or the amount of coverage I have?

Visit our Changes page to submit changes to your current tool insurance.

Can I continue my tool insurance if I leave BSRO?
